The Story of My Life

1976 – Born at Letterman Army Hospital at the Presidio in San Francisco

1976-1994 – Raised in Minnesota


1994 – Toured and performed with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps

Also 1994 – Joined the Army as a musician (no photos, sorry)

1998 – Moved to Graham, WA to attend a small Bible college


2001 – Graduated from Bible college, was a licensed minister for 2 years (never really did ministry though which was a bummer)

2002ish – Started a window and gutter cleaning business called Class Act Outdoor Services, servicing the Tacoma area

2005 – Field Coordinator in the state of Minnesota for the John Birch Society

2006 – Moved to Hawaii to get married (barefoot on Lanikai Beach in Kailua, Oahu)

2007 – Began to take music much more seriously; auditioned for several symphony orchestras2008 – Money was running low, rejoined the Army as a musician

2015 – Left the Army after assignments at Ft. Knox, KY; Ft. McPherson, GA; Ft. Bragg, NC and Seoul, Korea


2015 – I began my first podcast called Outside the Music Box. (I’ve since operated several successful shows including Trumpet Dynamics and Musicpreneur: Making Money Making Music)

2016 – Relocated to Holly Springs, NC with wife and 2 year old child

2018 – Moved to Virginia Beach, VA; sadly separated from and divorced said wife

2019 – Began new podcast (Hijinks and Sweet Music) and musical performing career in earnest

2020 and beyond – “When you make plans, God laughs…”
